Ruby Blue Cards
Ruby Blue Cards was founded by myself, Sall, in 2010.
It all started when I designed and created my own wedding stationery back in 2007. I loved designing something completely unique and I received so much positive feedback from friends and family. I already worked full time in construction design but creating wedding stationery was so much more rewarding. I eventually made it my full time business in 2010 when I was on maternity leave with my first son.
There is nothing better than working with a couple to produce stationery for their wedding. It's such a privelege to play a small part in their special day, doing something that I love. As well as wedding stationery, I design and make cards, prints and various other stationery. I offer a personalised service so I have done a lot of 'one off' requests too! I pride myself on friendly customer service, replying to all my messages straight away and offereing a quick turnaround on all of my products. I absolutely love designing new products, I spend a lot of time researching the best papers and only using the best quality supplies. I believe it makes a massive difference to any design.
For my greetings cards and invitations, I use a very thick 350gsm cardstock with a silkweave texture. It looks almost like a canvas. For my prints, I use either a fine art Archival Matte Paper, which gives crisp lines and bold colours or a thick textured cardstock for a canvas effect. All printed with the finest of pigment inks to prevent fading over time.
I source my frames and mounts from a master frame makers with over 40 years of experience. They are all wooden frames with a safe high quality acrylic glazing that is indistinguishable from glass when on the wall.
Framed prints are protected using corner protectors, bubble wrap and sent in a corrugated box by courier.
Prints are sent out with a cardboard mount, in a cellophane packet and sent in a cardboard envelope.
My cards and prints can now be found in various outlets across North Yorkshire. I now have customers in the UK, Australia, Canada and North America.
